This weekend in Paris the best of the best in Women’s Basketball met to compete in the FIBA Europe All Star game. SIG clients Crystal Langhorne Laura Harper Sheana Mosch Candice Dupree and Lindsay Whalen represented the rest of the world. Shay Doron Maria Stepanova and Agnieszka Bibrzycka represented Europe. The final score was 101-78 with Europe winning.
For the rest of the world Laura Harper netted 4 pts. and grabbed 4 rebounds with 9 minutes of play. Candice Dupree who started with 19 minutes of play contributed with 12 pts. Sheana Mosch played 21 minutes scoring 3 pts. Crystal Langhorne played 13 minutes and grabbed 7 rebounds while Lindsay Whalen the other starter for the rest of the world was the third leading scorer on the team with 11 pts. in 26 minutes of play. Europe won with Becky Hammon scoring 24 points. Shay Doron a starter tallied up 7 pts. with 22 minutes of play.
In other All-Star happenings Sheana was beat out in the 3 point competition by fellow American Becky Hammon. This was the first All Star appearance for rookies Crystal and Laura as well as for Candice Sheana and Shay. Congratulations to everyone!
