 Contract Negotiation
At SIG, we represent professional
basketball players. What exactly does that
mean? In our case, it means that players who
join our team are joining our family. And as
family, we look out for each and every one
of our clients. Our representation covers
the full gamut, from contract negotiation to
training to player marketing.
WNBA
For our players that are either in the WNBA
or attempting to be in the WNBA, we maximize
your opportunities. Having a full
understanding of the league and the value
our players bring to it, we insure that our
players receive the maximum compensation for
their worth. SIG will negotiate for
increases from one season to the next after
the rookie contract is up, rewarding our
players for their hard work. SIG also
understands the dynamics of each team and
each player, and works to find a team for
our players where a symbiotic relationship
can exist: a team and coaching staff that
will foster our players' abilities, and a
team that can benefit from what a player has
to offer.
Overseas
Since the WNBA only runs for few months,
many players decide to play off-season. At
SIG, not only do we provide our players with
the unique opportunity to play overseas in
some of the most competitive leagues outside
of U.S. soil, but we also give them the
chance to improve their skills while here at
home. For our players who choose to compete
in the top leagues in Europe and Asia, we
discuss with our players what they wish to
gain from their experience overseas, whether
it be a desire to play in one of the more
competitive leagues and improve their game
by competing against the best international
players, or they are trying to have an
experience of a lifetime by living abroad
while playing hoops, or whether it be a more
financially driven decision. In any case,
SIG formulates a plan consistent with our
client's needs and wishes, and we work to
find that ideal situation. We do months of
work promoting our players and marketing the
abilities and skills they have to offer.
After finding a proper team in an
environment conducive to the player's needs,
SIG will negotiate a contract that maximizes
their earning potential and secures a safe
and comfortable living atmosphere. |
